Fabric Wreaths

Carey, one of our teachers here at Stitcher’s Playhouse, has been making these fun fabric wreaths . We thought it was so cute and could be made for any occasion.  Mary gathered scraps from our many Halloween prints and created the first one.

Then we remembered pieces of a ‘honey bun’ left from a class two years ago and created a second one.  Can't you see an Easter Bunny adorning this one!  Or hang a child's initial in the middle of the wreath to make a beautiful bedroom door or wall decoration.
We all have scraps from our various projects throughout the year. So take that material, cut 1 ½” X 7” strips and tie them to a single metal ring. We used a 12” ring and it took approximately 225 strips.  You can make the wreath as full as you like simply by adding more fabric strips.

You can cut 6 pieces from one width of fabric.  This means you can get 36 pieces from ¼ yard.  So dig out those scraps and get started.  Make one for the upcoming holidays and send us a picture!
